Room was large and comfortable. Location excellent, walking distance to Hollywood Blvd, Walk of Fame etc. Also laundry and Starbucks very close by. Somewhat noisy in the rooms - bring earplugs and you'll be fine. Friendly service on Reception, Wifi was good. Plenty of space in the garage parking.

"Don’t Expect Much"

The best thing about this place is the location. We were able to walk to and from a concert at the Hollywood bowl, and that convenience was worth the money. However... as far as hotels go, this place has plenty of room for improvement. When we walked into the small lobby area, there was a strong air freshener smell. Which, I guess would normally be OK, except that this air freshener is one usually used in large public restrooms. So just by association, the lobby kind of smelled like poo. The rooms were sort of bare minimum. I couldn’t find a full-length mirror anywhere, which is a pretty big miss. They don’t cost much and absolutely necessary when getting dressed to go out. The lighting around the bathroom mirror is absolutely horrible. It reminded me more of a black light you use to to look for cancers or bacteria, not to apply makeup. There was no mini bar or snacks available in the room. There were no blackout curtains, so getting a night away from the kids to sleep in didn’t happen. The iron was covered some kind of sticky black substance. Paint was scratched and chipping around the door handles. The cleaning crew clearly isn’t checking for this kind of thing. But the kicker: the bed was extremely uncomfortable. It looked nice. But it was miserable to sleep on. Not good when you need to sleep off a hangover. The rooms don’t have central air (window units did the job though). The pool on site is hilariously small. It’s basically something to laugh at while you’re waiting on the elevator. There is no valet parking or anyone to help you with your luggage. It’s all very do-it-yourself. Which is fine, but doesn’t give you license to call yourself a hotel. This place is more of a recently renovated, clean enough motel. And if that’s all you really need, then go for it. Just don’t be fooled by the pretty pictures.

"Perfect for shows at Hollywood Bowl"

I wish I could give this place 4.5 stars because I feel it's better than a 4 star, but not quite 5 star! My fiance and I stayed just one night at BLVD to go to a concert at the Hollywood Bowl, which is literally right across the street - super convenient! PROS: - Front desk staff was excellent and accommodating. We arrived hours before check in and there was no room for us, but they checked us in and allowed us to park our car to walk around and check out Hollywood - Parking is a very reasonable (for the area) $26 per night - LOCATION - right across the street from the Bowl, just up the hill from the best of what Hollywood has to offer (10 min walk to Hollywood Walk of Fame) - Room was big and clean. Although we didn't use them, there was a coffee maker, microwave and mini-fridge) - The Bar - we didn't hang out here, but there was a nice pre-show crowd having drinks. Very casual, very open and not big, but accommodating. CONS: - The Pool - just kind of boring and sad with plain walls surrounding and no sun - The amount of light in our room. Our room was a decent size, but had just one tiny little window that let in way too little light. Lights on during the day was a necessity. With this location, a big window looking out to Hollywood would have been awesome! This may have just been our room though as were we the last room before a 2 bedroom suite. We were room 202. Other rooms may be better. All in all, we'd definitely stay here again for a night or two if we're seeing shows at the Hollywood Bowl or doing other stuff in the Hollywood area. Would recommend!

"ok for short stay"

Amenities fine no safe in room; coffee and tea facilities below average; though clean; shower not strong; bed comfortable; location not convenient as transport required; to places other than main Hollywood strip that does not have a great deal to see over there . We were in transit to cruise; thought we would spend a day in Hollywood and surrounds; found everything too far needed to hire van to transport group of us around LA; and to cruise ship. Reception staff a little blaze and forgetful left messages to pass onto our friends arriving and they forgot to tell them even though they wrote it down ,staff seemed young and very inexperienced . Because of the distance to airport and pier, and the inconvenient location, it would not be our preferred choice for our next visit. We were promised an upgrade of a 1 bedroom suite but sadly we did not receive it.

"Excellent spot to visit Universal, Warner studios, Griffith, near Highland metro station"

Staff is friendly, hotel is quiet, room was clean, housekeeping people willing to help and always very friendly. Even though Hollywood blvd/walk of fame is not the best place in LA overall... you can do several things from here, apart from all Hollywood Blvd stuff, Dolby, chinese, El capitan theaters, Dolby mini shopping mall including some good places to lunch and dinning, all northern attractions (Universal, etc...) you are 30m from downtown and the hub for going to Santa Monica. For other places you may need a car, and this is a bit of an issue since BLVD will charge you with additional u$s25. Also, no dryer and washer machines, this can be a good improvement. Apart from this, everything was great.
