Checked in for a midweek visit with the girlfriend. From Jordan at the front desk, to Denise at the bar, had amazing service the whole time. Received a fantastic massage at the spa! Rooms were immaculate, and common areas were too.

"Aesthetically Pleasing with Great Staff"

I was looking around for a hotel that was both cost effective and close to Hollywood Studios and found this place. Looking at the photos of it online I immediately loved it, but when I checked in the whole place was just stunning. The room was extremely spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The fridge was much bigger than your normal mini fridge and could easily hold a pizza box in it, and kept things very cold. The bathroom was just as large and the shower had 2 shower heads. A direct head above you and then a mobile shower head to the side. The room wasn't just the greatest part of the place, but the staff were just as great. I came in before 3 and the staff was extremely helpful in finding me a room that was ready without even asking. They explained all the amenities of the place including a free wine or draft beer during their bars happy hour. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable for what to do in the area, and as for Universal it was a quick 5 minute walk to their shuttle stop to get you up the hill. This place is AMAZING! Definitely would go here for both friends and as a honeymooning location I could see it be used for either.

"Average hotel with good location & indoor pool, but pricey with parking"

We are locals who had to be out of the house for a few days during renovations in November. This hotel was the only one in the area with an indoor pool - kids wanted to swim, but November is too cold for us to swim outdoors! The pool was perfect - small, but heated like a big bathtub. The location was very close to Universal Studios, which was convenient. The hotel is modern and trendy - many young people staying here. The bar/lounge downstairs had happy hour which was popular. Overall it was a fine experience, but some cons especially with the pool - the main reason we chose this hotel. The pool hours were incorrectly listed in the printed materials (other guests told us was wrong on the web as well) as closing at 7:00 PM - glad we asked for clarification and were told 10:00 PM - otherwise we would have assumed we missed swim hours and wouldn't have tried to swim on a couple of evenings. The pool door was locked 3 of the 4 times we tried, and no access with room key. Had to walk all the way back to the lobby (through the chilly parking garage) to get someone to open the door. Towels not always stocked poolside. And the pool area was pretty drab and depressing - painted grey like the parking garage, with some broken windows. Could use some blue paint on the walls like in the rooms, and some better attention to this area. Final complaint was that my bill at checkout did not reflect the rate I was quoted during my reservation. Had I not asked for a final printout, and also had a printed copy of the emailed reservation, I would have been charged $50 more per night, and more tax. And I think everyone would complain about $28 per day parking fee. That stings. We would probably go back in a similar situation, but if swimming during colder weather is not a priority then there are lots of other nearby hotels I would try first.

We did a family trip to Universal Studios and wanted some place close to the park. The reviews for this hotel were very good so we went based on that. The hotel did not disappoint. Its a great hotel, the staff was very courteous and friendly. They have garage parking which for me was a huge plus. We will definitely stay here again.

"Great location close to Universal!"

Going to Universal Studios? The BLVD Hotel is so close you can walk to the free shuttle that takes you up the hill to Universal and City Walk. Great decor with hip retro vibe. Clean. They upgraded us to a suite for our mother/daughter trip with our cousins. Appreciated the extra space, living room area and full kitchen. Great deal! Also, though you pay for parking it will be less than parking at Universal. Great stay!
