NIce large rooms and friendly staff. A/C never worked ok for the 4 days stay, we reported it but they could not fix it. They offered to change us to another room for an upgrade but did not wanted to spend more. Their french restaurant is very nice, clean and good food.

This is high class high end Sofitel, very well situated by Beverly Center in West Hollywood, close to everything. Lobby level with common areas looks quite tasteful and attractive. Nice bar/lounge with entertainment on weekends. Rooms are good sized, well decorated, with nice large bathroom, and good amenities.As a Platinum Accor Hotels Member, I expected higher floor and better view of Hollywood, but I am not too sad about it. It was noisy though in the room, street noise early in the morning, that is not good. Service was expert and friendly throughout. Prices are on higher end, but not exuberant. Will gladly stay there again:4.5 out of 5!

Had several issues here... Lack of knowledge from the manager to understand that an Accor member can use his points to pay the bill for a room. He was intransigent and say no all the times, EVEN when the CUSTOMER SERVICE of Accorhotels called him! But lucky (and that’s why I’m not giving one star) a blond lady, who is new at the hotel, helped me doing the checkout and used my points to pay the EXPENSIVE parking ($45 a night) and EXPENSIVE AND HIDDEN resident fee ($27 a night). Also, when my keys stopped working, I went to the reception and there was a line of 3 people to do the check in, which takes time of course, then I just asked this blond lady to do the revalidation of my keys as this takes 10 seconds. The 2 young guys in the reception were incredibly RUDE with me and said I was cutting the line! The room was very small and nothing looked like a Sofitel there, what a shame! Do not stay here!

Spent two weeks at Sofitel L.A. over Xmas and New year. While it is good value service is disappointing and rooms are a bit tired. Christmas Day our room did not get serviced in spite of several desperate phone calls although the room service manager did his best to pacify us. One day internet was down and no one seemed to know how to help until we found a tech guy on front desk who was quickly able to sort it out. This was typical of the ad hoc basis of service. All well trained to say have a nice day and apologize for any complaint but no ability to do anything about it. One Fawlty Towers incident was when I attempted to extend my stay which you’d have thought would have appealed to them. Front Desk insisted I must phone Sofitel central reservation. I pointed out there was a phone in front of him so, why didn’t he make the call. When he got them and handed me the phone I was told I had to deal with the hotel directly! I come to L.A. from time to time. I’ll probably stay elsewhere on the next occasion.

What a great hotel! Lovely staff on the front desk & at the valet. Everyone was very helpful with recommendations on things to do and places to see. Restaurant was nice and fairly well priced for a hotel restaurant. The main bonus was the comfort of the bed and blankets. I’ve been dreaming about being wrapped up in those covers since we checked out! Room configuration was different to your average hotel and the glass feature on top of the bed looking into the shower was a cool touch.
