My kids and i travel to Anaheim a lot, mind you we have not been to DIsneyland as a family of four since my kids were 2 and 4. So they were excited that their daddy was coming, we had booked a room at The Best Western Pavilions where we have stayed countless times before. Upon our arrival at 5am at that hotel, we received horrifying customer service. After getting corporate involved and the front desk not wanting to refund our money, i started looking around for another room. I came across The Grand Legacy, called them and spoke with Daisy, not only was she so understanding and helpful but she mentioned she could get us into a room immediately so we can rest. She said she would hold our room for an hour while we dealt with BW, 15 mins later i called and mentioned we were on our way over. upon arriving our experience was outstanding and we thank the staff and most importantly Daisy for our experience. We had such a good stay that will now only be booking here for all of our upcoming trips. See you in June Grand Legacy.

On a recent trip to Disneyland we stayed at this place. Nice clean rooms. Bathroom was clean with plenty of towels. Only complain was the toilet was very slow to flush. Beds were a lil harder than I like but it was acceptable. WiFi signal wasn't very good, I was never able to connect. The television was a nice flat screen. Keep in mind they do charge $12 plus tax for parking. Had to wait about 5 mins for someone to leave to get a spot. Our check in was at 3:00 but they allowed us to leave our car there at 8am,so we can just walk to Disneyland instead of paying at the park.

Our travel agent recommended this hotel because it included a hot breakfast. We found out that the hot breakfast was discontinued in January 2017. When I complained that we had paid for this and hadn't been notified in advance, I was told that the hotel had no contact information for us. Apparently, they had no obligation to contact either our travel agent or Westjet Vacations either. The hotel offered us an opportunity to join a private group for a breakfast for 6 of the 7 days that we were there but unfortunately, the person in charge of the private group made it very clear that it was for her group only, and that we were not invited. Feeling humiliated, we went back to the front desk and were told that a hot breakfast would be available for pickup at 7 am the next morning. We decided against this as there was no discussion as to what type of food would be available and didn't want to be disappointed again. I was told that the supervisor (Byron) would call me in my hotel room later on that day to discuss the matter but he never did. Wifi worked about 75% of the time....sometimes we were kicked off (like in the middle of confirming our flights home). Beds were comfortable. Housekeeping was exceptionally slow. Our room was never cleaned before 4:00 - 5 pm. On the last day, we just asked for clean towels and never had them clean our room. Front desk was efficient but indifferent at checkout time and never asked us how our stay was.

We have stayed at this hotel 3 times. The first time we stayed toward the front of the hotel and we had a little trouble with the wifi which we need for my daughter to conduct some business. We spend some time on the phone with tech support and it did not help much but didn't effect our visit that much.At that time I would have given the hotel 3 stars. Breakfast was okay, room was okay, service was average. The second time we stayed we were at the back of the hotel and could not stay on wifi, we keep getting bumped off and we spent hours on the phone with tech support and the mail office trying everything and even having maintenance reset the router in the office, They said the wifi signal wasn't as good in the back of he hotel and I asked why they put us there when I had requested a room with good wifi signal when I made the reservation! They said they were booked up and didn't have anything else available and the room location was just a request, not guaranteed. The last time we stayed was 2 weeks ago, we specifically booked the very front of the hotel and they gave us room 201 in the very front of the hotel. The wifi was horrible, same thing on the phone for an hour with tech support and the office. Also we were NOT informed when we made the reservation or when we checked in that there wasn't a breakfast room anymore! There was some "snack" in a bag (cheese stick, granola bar, bottle of water and an apple). The people in the front office were very nice when I complained, but do not compensate for a bad visit. I know most people don't go to Disneyland to use wifi, but sometimes it's necessary to mix business with pleasure and they could have informed us we couldn't count on their wifi! We are annual pass holders and have stayed many times on most of the hotels on South Harbor and they all have good wifi so we choose the hotel that has the best price and it has been Grand Legacy the last three times. We definitely will spend the extra $15-$20 a night on another hotel to have good wifi and hot breakfast next time!

My family goes to Disneyland on average of once a year and we always stay at the Disneyland Hotel. This time however, I was not going to pay the really over inflated price. We chose the Grand Legacy and I was a bit leery to do this based on the negative reviews I had read. The location of this hotel is fantastic. Closer to the main gates than the DL Hotel. When I booked this hotel, I asked for a room on the top floor (based on reviews I read about the high level of noise and i didn't want to hear trampling above me). We got a two queen room on the top floor and we heard none of the noise issues that others on Tripadvisor wrote about. The carpets are slightly worn as is the furniture. I had to request that the two chairs in the room be replaced because there was no stuffing left in them and the bottoms of them had worn completely out. This was done by the staff immediately. The beds were comfortable. Weird pillows though. Lumpy little things the size of a couch throw pillow. The room itself was immaculately clean, dust free and kept that way by an amazing housecleaning staff. At this, I am very impressed. Beats the heck out of the Disneyland Hotel house cleaning staff by a long shot. Tiny bathrooms that could use some extra shelving for our toiletries. Microwave, great sized fridge and NO in-room safe. Wish they would have an in-room safe. The check in staff were very friendly: the ladies during check-out, not so much. Curt and grumpy. This hotel needs to seriously think about re-implementing the breakfast that they apparently once used to have. I think that an offered breakfast is one advantage that some of the neighboring hotels have over this one. I appreciate the water bottles, cheese stick and single granola bar in the hotel offered in the morning, not so much the bruised and not so fresh apples. A snack, not a meal. We did get breakfast at Taco's attached to the hotel. At a special price of $1.75 for hotel guests, we got egg, cheese and ham soft tacos. Tiny, so we bought two each and we were able to pre-order from the room and they were ready for pick-up when we went down. Very delicious. I cannot comment on the parking, as we used Super Shuttle to and from the airport. We did not have time to use the pool but I can say it was very large. We would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again. As a family of four, with two teenage girls, we would most likely book two rooms, as the rooms are small.
