I love, love this hotel. From the excellent service when checking in to leaving a few days later. There was an excellent view of the Hollywood Sign. The room was so big with large sofa, coffee table, desk, huge bed and good sized fridge. Fantastic location, easy to walk around Hollywood. The hotel bar was pleasant and room service was well priced and good. Very modern hotel. Extremely clean. Staff were very professional. Breakfast was in a nice restaurant. I felt like a superstar staying here. I would highly recommend and would visit again. Thanks

We stay in Hollywood every year, but this time we got a group rate for an event my son attended. Inadvertently, our reservation wasn't in the system, butvStephen the front desk manager took care if it and even upgraded us to the 20th floor. It was great. The pool, gym and rooms are great. This property has a bar with appetizers in the lobby, Starbucks and a nice restaurant in the 2nd. On the 3rd floortgey have a Fed Ex office for any office needs.

"Great Hotel"

This was a really nice hotel. The location can't be beat; you're right smack in the middle of the Hollywood Boulevard and Highland neighborhood, within walking distance of many sights like the Walk of Fame, and within a very short Lyft ride of sights like Melrose Avenue, the Sunset Strip, and Universal Studios. However, it's nonetheless very easy to access: you hop right off the freeway and reach the hotel, and there's a huge parking garage ($15 a day) next door. The staff was very helpful; I encountered only one problem (the cardkeys didn't work at first), and the front desk staff jumped right on it and fixed it in an instant, walking to the elevator to make sure it worked. The room-service fellow was a very nice guy too. The room service tasted great; I got breakfast and liked it very much. (Keep having room service, hotels! It's very important. I choose hotels based on whether they have it.) The front desk upgraded me to a Director's Suite, which was really nice; great view of the huge (10-story) art-deco gates to the mall next door, and of the city. The rain shower was huge, and the room was very comfortable. The expense was large, but not crazy, considering the location. All in all, not a complaint to be made about the hotel!

"Great as long as you're white "

Stayed here two nights Thurs/Fri then sat/sun. Booked room for two. First stay I waited in lobby bar for 45 min doing nothing, drinking nothing having not checked in waiting for my guest. Second stay guest got there earlier than me. You might have surmised from the title - my guest was black, I am white. My guest was harassed at valet first. Did he have a reason to be at the hotel? Was he a guest? If he was a guest what's the room name (he gave them the name - twice). After he was deemed okay to park the car he decided to wait for me in the lobby - that place where people convene and there is a pretty bar. I shouldn't mention the five white guys hanging around should I? Within about 60 seconds two men approached him and asked what he was doing, sitting in a hotel lobby. He again explained he was checking in and waiting on me. They again asked for a name, which he gave, they again asked if he was sure I was a guest because his name wasn't listed (I booked a room for two - when you book a room for two do you write everyone's name and ssn down to avoid racial profiling?). My guest was then told "we can't have people just sitting here waiting" IN A LOBBY. IN AN AREA DESIGNED FOR WAITING! Where other people were waiting and he JUST sat down. He continued to explain he was a guest and not leaving. I showed up about 4 minutes after him, so from the get they wanted him out. I'm white. They offered to take my bag. Welcome me back at the front desk. Have the same dudes who bothered my guest get me the elevator and ask if I had a car for valet. Not right. Not cool. Not staying here again. But again, if you're five white guys drunk on chairs cat calling women (me) this place is top tier.

It was an awesome experience. The service was wonderful and the people were friendly. This review must be at least two hundred characters. So much for my brevity. I had to add this before I could submit it.
