"Great place to stay for a visit to Disneyland and California Adventure"
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5

This is a very good hotel to stay at when visiting Disneyland and California Adventure. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. There is no microwave or toaster, just a mini fridge and a coffee maker, but if you need a microwave there is the lounge at the lobby level. It is within walking distance of Downtown Disney, Disneyland and California Adventure. If you don't want to walk all the way to Disneyland, you can always board the Monorail at the Downtown Disney station. We used our DVC vacation points for this stay, so I can comment about the rates, but I think they start at about 270 USD per night for a double room with a daybed. There is an observation deck at the top floor for viewing the firewokrs displays from the parks. I would definitely stay here again.

It is only a short walk to the DL parks. The hotel has a convenient parking garage and the pool is awesome with the slide and pool side bar. The staff was very nice and the room was spacious and clean.

"Overpriced mediocre food balanced out by location and staff"
TripAdvisor user rating 3 out of 5
Reviewed June 18, 2018 NEW
The double-room with a pull-out couch was spacious enough for me and two kids (9 & 13). There were enough clothes drawers to be comfortable for three nights. The room looked about 20 years out of date, but it was not shabby, just dated. The room service food was mediocre at best and ridiculously expensive (although very fast). For breakfast, skip the hotel and go to one of the three Starbucks on Disney Drive as you walk to the theme park entrance. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to Disney Drive, and after getting thru security there, it is another 10 to 15 minute walk down Disney Drive past food and stores to get to the theme park entrances. The pool was a nice respite after hot exhausting days at Disneyland. My 9-year old enjoyed the staff-led limbo-line and games at the pool (4 pm every day for 30 minutes). The staff was exceedingly nice.

"Proximity without frills - Opt to pay more onsite or venture off-site"

At a whopping $436/night rate (June, high season) for a standard double-double room, the experience should be pleasant and effortless. Instead of customer service and modern accommodations you are paying for proximity and early entry into the park as a resort guest. The outdated room was clean, average sized, and acceptable in almost every way. The carpets were older, there was minimal counter space, the bathroom was dated, and the walls were paper thin. Customer service was not the same "Disney" experience as one might expect from Disneyland. We waited at check-in for 15-20 minutes and our service agent was minimally welcoming. I travel frequently for work and the customer and food service was pale in comparison at best to a standard Hilton, Marriott, or IHG experience. That said, you can't beat the proximity to the parks. I would not stay here again and would opt to pay more for the Disney Hotel or the Grand Californian. Once you're spending over $400 a night you might as well go all in and stay closer in a more updated property or go the opposite direction and pay half the price for an updated property with twice the space. This property is not worth the price tag - either go all-in for the Grand Californian or save $$ and stay off resort property.

This Disney hotel has some of the largest standard rooms of any of the 3 Disney hotels. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Pool is accessible, Hot Tub/whirlpool is smallest, but hottest of all 3 Disney hotels
