"Not necessary, but great if you're going to stay on property"

If you ask someone about whether or not to stay on-property at Walt Disney World, the answer is probably yes. There are a ton of perks and rewards for doing so. With Disneyland, there aren't as many perks all all, but I still think Paradise Pier is a lovely hotel for your Disneyland or Anaheim visit. The rooms are decorated with fun beach theming, and were always clean. It was easy to get whatever we needed during our stay, either from the gift shop or cafe, or the nearby Downtown Disney. Having the extra Magic hours at the parks was a nice touch.

This place always delivers. All decked out for the holiday, love the big tree! First thing we saw walking in. Room clean as always and nice. No suite this time just a double room, but more than enough room to rest relax and recharge. Staff was great as usual. Some nice upgrades to the elevators since we last visited. easy to get to and from the parks. Just a great place to stay!

"Nice hotel"

We stayed here for 3 nights. We had a connecting room with our grandkids. It was great. There are very few connecting rooms and they won’t guarantee them but if you get one it is great. The rooms are clean and ok in size. The rooms with a king have much more spa e than the rooms with two queen beds. We checked in around 11:15 and Mickey, Minnie and Daisy were in the lobby while we waited. Not crowded and the kids got a lot of time with them. Made our day. You are not allowed to go through the California Grand hotel to get to the parks anymore. You need to walk through Downtown Disney or take the Monorail. It is a bit longer but a easy walk. They have moved the security check points. You must now go through a security checkpoint to enter Downtown Disney.

"Convenient Location, No Frills"

The hotel was nice, but it's not on the same level as the Disneyland Hotel, or Grand California. Very clean, service was great, convenient location (5 minute walk to Downtown Disney). I would stay here again. The only negative is the elevator system. It was very slow, and they are little. Sometimes had to wait 10 minutes just to get on.

"Nice, but noisy"

We stayed there as a family. We had a theme park view room, which gave us a great view of California Adventures. The hotel is decorated in a beach theme, with surfboard motif in the elevators, etc. The hotel is nice, but it is very noisy - the music from the various attractions at California Adventures plus the noise from the fireworks at Disneyland and the traffic on the very busy road that runs by the hotel make it difficult to sleep soundly.
