"Great location but too expensive for the quality of the room"

The room was a solid 3. The linens were good, beds were comfortable and it seemed clean enough (although I was somewhat suspect of the carpet). Our room had a nice view of the park, so we could see the firework from our window. We could hear a lot of park noise, but it wasn't bad and didn't disturb us. The room was dated, though, and seemed somewhat tired. Considering the nightly rate we paid, I had much much higher expectations. Our general thought is that the hotel is very accommodating to families and therefore believes that families have low expectations of their rooms. Room service was not available in the afternoon when we were resting from a long day. We did not use the pool. Laundry service was so-so, in that we had to drop off the bag ourselves in the morning, and the cleaned laundry was not delivered to the room. Again, it's a small thing but we felt that for what this cost they should work on going the extra mile in terms of services. We were also told that we could do our own laundry there (somewhere in the building) so that is available for those that would prefer to do it themselves. Additionally, they didn't clean our room one day, which was a disappointing discovery after a long day at the park. Overall we won't stay there again, but if we do go back to Disney perhaps we'll pay even MORE and stay at the Grand California Hotel. Not sure I trust I the reviews but we'll decide at that time.

"Went for our anniversary"

I and my wife went to Disneyland on our honeymoon over 40 years ago. For our anniversary we went to Disneyland just the 2 of us. We had a great time. What was great was that we were able to check into our room at 7:00 a.m. and enter the park at 8:00 a.m. We spent the day in the park but we realized that we are not as young as we were when we first got married. So about 5:00 p.m. we went back to our room but we were able to ride every ride that we wanted to because the park was not very crowded. This was a great time to go and the hotel was just wonderful. We had lunch in the park and we ended up having a lite dinner in the hotel that night. This is a great hotel and very convenient. Love this place and it makes you happy.

The Paradise Pier was a comfy and cheaper alternative to our favorite Grand Californian. My 8 year old and I stayed for just 1 night and found it to be a great base for exploring the parks. The beds are comfortable and the hotel is very quiet. Our 2 bedded room came with a sleeping couch too so could easily accommodate a larger family. The distance to the parks is about 1/3 mile walk - Grand Californian is much closer and the Disney hotel is a little closer. For a really special occasion I would splurge for the Grand Californian but for a quick trip this was great. There's an arcade off the lobby and a cute room for kids to watch Disney cartoons. The extra magic hour is worth it, we were able to do all the big rides at CA Adventure in the first hour the park was open - Soarin', Radiator Springs Racers, Toy Story and Guardians of the Galaxy. There looks like there's a nice pool area, but we didn't have time to check it out.

We stayed at the Paradise Pier Hotel for two days. We were on the 14th floor facing my California Adventure and got the club level as well. Club level was on the second floor, you got continental breakfast( bagels, pastry, hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, OJ, milk coffee) They also do lunch time snacks, have a cocktail hour with beer and wine and desserts... The room was nice and spacious, clean and had a wonderful view. The lobby area had a kids arcade, and my favorite had a kids theater which played old Disney cartoons for the kids... Staff is super helpful and sweet as well. Can’t go wrong staying at this hotel.

"Large room, new Smart TV... Specs OK but needs a revamp"

Another Disney hotel by music business industry when January comes, that's the NAMM Show, indeed! So my company books dozens of rooms. I was happy about the room: as usual twin large beds, complete bathroom with all you might need and best of all, a new LG Smart TV. That made my day, guys! If you can recall previous reviews from me, I do travel with my portable USB drive and do enjoy plugging it in to enjoy movies (especially when TV sucks when it's a long trip and when the hour difference does not allow easy sleep -100% matching situation here-). The USB port was unblocked so I was successful with my entertainment mission, BUT it took me a very long time to be able to connect the cable to the back of the TV, because some old 70s (old, battered and really ugly, should be removed NOW) furniture -where old TV used to fit in- did not allow the easy reach. I had to slide my iPhone with flash enabled to take of picture of the side connections panel, and then proceed blindly as I crawled from the floor and waited for both ends of the USB (cable and port) to match. Anyway, worth the effort! Super HD Screen allowed me for hours of pure movie joy. Kinda happy with the shower, once you know how to operate the thing (weird design), hot water comes instantly, with constant pressure. Overwhelmed with towels and pillows, too! That was excellent... Complains? USB access should be allowed more easily (those days travelers hardly see TV -just like home-, we just want a big screen to connect our devices). Get rid of those old wooden panels where the TV is stuck, also they don't allow TV orientation. Front desk girls were nice and smiling but far from being able to discuss a solution to what I considered to be an easy problem: for some reason there was no way to change the billing info on my invoice, how come? I am the one who pays the goddamm thing, so I am not allowed to choose what data I want to be displayed on the bill? Really got on my nerves. Hope my company doesn't mind the wrong info, guess I will be refunded anyway... Overall quite a good choice on the Anaheim area, likely to have a room booked again next year.
