"What Better Place Than Warner Brothers"
July, 2016
My family and I visited California in June of 2016. It was our first time visiting the West Coast so we wanted to do everything possible. When I found the Warner Brothers tour I was beyond excited! And the tour sure exceeded my expectations. Our tour guide was so friendly and full of so much information about the different movies and shows that have occurred on their grounds. She showed us where shows such as The Fosters, 2 Broke Girls, and Full house were filmed and created. One of my absolute favorite parts was visiting the soundstage for the show Big Bang Theory. Words can't describe how happy I was to see where one of my favorite shows came to record.
Stage 48 was just the cherry on top. Visiting the friends stage and ACTUALLY SITTING ON THE FRIENDS SET was absolutely fantastic! They also featured some old time favorites such as ER and gave you the chance to hold an actual Grammy. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the LA area. It was the highlight of our trip. There was so much information and activities jammed into the tour that you were never bored. Hopefully next time we can visit Ellen and attend a live recording of Big Bang Theory!

"Fun & fascinating"

Our tour guide, Jillian, was energetic and very knowledgeable. All the behind-the-scenes stops were fascinating, and we loved the Harry Potter room - would have liked more than the short time we were allowed - lost a rating star because of that!

"Warner Bros Studio Tour"

We are a family of 4 (two being older teenagers). I wasn't exactly sure what day and time we would be able to do the tour but it was not a problem. I checked the website the night before and did not have a problem choosing the time I wanted and reserving our spot. We left in plenty of time to get there and were actually one of the first to arrive because traffic was not a problem at all. Everyone was very friendly and our tour guide was great! My favorite was getting to sit on the 'Friends' couch at Central Perk since that is my favorite show and I was in my 20s watching it when it ran on TV for the first time. A guy actually proposed to his girlfriend on the couch while we were next in line to sit on the couch! It was also cool to see the studio where Big Bang theory is taped. It is much smaller than you would think it would be. A lot of the tour is riding around which is nice then you get off and go inside different places. We all enjoyed the tour very much!

"Felt like a star!"
February, 2016
My family and I went to LA last weekend and decided to go to the WB studio tour and I'm so glad we did! What a great experience! We purchased our tickets on ReserveLosAngeles.com because we found they had the best price and the process was easy and most convenient. On the day of the tour we easily found the location due to the many helpful signs guiding us from the freeway to the parking lot. You could opt for free street parking or park in the WB lot for $7. After checking in we went into a small theater to view a short film of clips from the numerous iconic WB productions through the years.
Next the audience was divided into groups of 12 and assigned a guide. Our guide, Eiffron was super knowledgeable and his enthusiasm was contagious. What an exciting experience we embarked upon: touring behind the scenes where some of our absolute favorite movies and television shows were made. Once we boarded our motorized cart we were driven around the massive 110 acre lot full of back lots, front lots, the Prop Department and The Archive, all among outside sets that were easily recognizable. Along the way we even spotted parking spaces reserved for some of our favorite celebrities. I loved stepping inside The Prop Department (which holds over 450k items) trying to spot props from some of my favorite scenes in movies and tv shows.
Next we had a few minutes to roam the Picture Car Vault which housed the Batman cars, Bat Mobile, Bat Pod and the Bat Hammer. Then we headed to the Archive where we had the chance to get up close and personal with several Harry Potter and Batman costumes and artifacts. We even got to have our picture taken with Hogwart's hat which told us which house we were in.
We were then taken inside the sound stage of The Big Bang Theory, one of my favorite shows. We sat right where a live audience would sit during filming while Eiffron explained how the entire filming process unfolds over a five day period. Implanting ourselves in the actual studio with several moving parts truly shows how it all comes together through the magic of television.
Everything from the casting process to costume design to special effects are explained through interactive activities and videos inside the final stop, Studio 48. We sat on the famous Central Perk couch from the show Friends and had our picture taken to capture the once in a lifetime moment.
Since my 8 year old daughter is a little too young to know Friends, she was ecstatic to have her very own free green screen experience. She sat on props and acted out short scenes from the movies Harry Potter, Batman and Gravity. Videos and photographs of this were available for purchase.
Our family truly enjoyed our Behind The Scenes Tour and feel as though we got the true Hollywood experience. If you're undecided on this tour, go! You won't be disappointed. We're looking forward to our next adventure already!

Our tour began around 9:30am with complimentary Starbucks breakfast and the same movie everyone sees with a little background on Warner Brothers. Then we met our guide Thom who has about 10 years experience. He has a great love for the studio and interest and knowledge for everything going on at WB. He spoke nonstop about all the current and past movies and TV shows that have been filmed at WB. Really enjoyed the history of the studios and feel that he tailored the tour as much as possible probably guessing our ages and what we would be interested in. Shameless was filming but later we returned when filming was over to take photos. We walked around many sets that dated to the 1930's. We walked and drove around numerous sets, facades, buildings and stages. We walked through props and costumes, past Conan's office and the metal and woodworking shops. We had a wonderful lunch in Fine Dining and caught a glimpse of Christopher Nolan. Also saw John Larroquette on the lot. Went onto the Lucifer set and got an explanation on how they shoot scenes. Very behind the scenes and fascinating. Highly recommend for adults interested in the movies and television shows shot on the WB lot like Friends, Dukes of Hazzard, Ellen, Mom, Big Bang Theory, Lucifer, the Foster's, Gilmore Girls, Pretty Little Liars, Annie, The Mask, Casablanca, Wonder Woman, Batman, Harry Potter, Jersey Boys, The Muppets, The Real, and many more. You will be on large comfortable golf carts driven by guide and given time to explore some museums on the lot and some of the sets inside and out depending on filming going on. This is not going to be interesting to young children.

Thom, our tour guide, is the second most senior person among all the tour guides at WB. He loves his job and is very good at it. He is in the clerical union for some reason. He out to be in the actor's union. Thom is a fount of knowledge in everything WB. At our lunch in the WB fine dining room he spotted Christopher Nolan (Batman, Dunkirk, etc.) and his wife. The visit to the prop building was my favorite part of the tour.

Great to go behind the scenes and see where the magic happens (Gilmore Girls, Last Samurai, Friends, Harry Potter etc). There were several golf carts full of fellow sightseers and the tour was advertised as lasting 2 hours. However, it felt very rushed and coupled with the fact that those of us seated at the back of the golf cart and back of the line when on foot barely heard anything our guide said it could do with some adjustment to bring it up to the standard of the Paramount tour (individual headphones and happy to go at a reasonable pace). I was particularly impressed by the assistants in the DC Universe exhibition and Stage 48 (the only places filming is permitted). They were extremely friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and happy to take photos of you with props etc. Drinking water and toilets available along the way and a cafe at the end that made a fab mocha. Mostly undercover but bring sunscreen just incase. You can't film or take photos on the stage sets and the cart moves pretty quickly so taking time to focus a camera is not particularly easy.

Warner Bro's Studio Tour offers group Tours at a (somewhat) reasonable price, where we're able to take a peek behind the curtain at some of our favourite shows. The tours are interesting, and as visitors are given lots of information regarding filming techniques, how to set a scene, manual camera settings, lighting, etc. I have also been on the Sony Studios Tour - which to me I found to be about the same level, however maybe slightly better due to the sets we were able to go on. One of my favourite things that happened on this tour was, me and friend, getting lost. We must've accidentally taken the wrong exit door, and found ourselves walking around on site, Warner Bro's if you're reading this, I'm sorry. It was just amazing being on this thriving campus, the buzz, you could feel the ideas flowing and had great conversations with some of the real workers. And as a Music/Media student, this is the place I want to be. There was also an amazing staff only lunch area, that offered the best burgers I've ever had, at an amazingly cheap price. If you get lost too, definitely check it out. In conclusion, sit back and enjoy the tour, and if you somehow get lost, enjoy it! Soak up the campus, but obviously be responsible, and follow the main route to the exit. Thanks for reading. Safe travels. 4.3/5 Stars
