"Felt like a star!"
Reviewed February, 2016
My family and I went to LA last weekend and decided to go to the WB studio tour and I'm so glad we did! What a great experience! We purchased our tickets on ReserveLosAngeles.com because we found they had the best price and the process was easy and most convenient. On the day of the tour we easily found the location due to the many helpful signs guiding us from the freeway to the parking lot. You could opt for free street parking or park in the WB lot for $7. After checking in we went into a small theater to view a short film of clips from the numerous iconic WB productions through the years.
Next the audience was divided into groups of 12 and assigned a guide. Our guide, Eiffron was super knowledgeable and his enthusiasm was contagious. What an exciting experience we embarked upon: touring behind the scenes where some of our absolute favorite movies and television shows were made. Once we boarded our motorized cart we were driven around the massive 110 acre lot full of back lots, front lots, the Prop Department and The Archive, all among outside sets that were easily recognizable. Along the way we even spotted parking spaces reserved for some of our favorite celebrities. I loved stepping inside The Prop Department (which holds over 450k items) trying to spot props from some of my favorite scenes in movies and tv shows.
Next we had a few minutes to roam the Picture Car Vault which housed the Batman cars, Bat Mobile, Bat Pod and the Bat Hammer. Then we headed to the Archive where we had the chance to get up close and personal with several Harry Potter and Batman costumes and artifacts. We even got to have our picture taken with Hogwart's hat which told us which house we were in.
We were then taken inside the sound stage of The Big Bang Theory, one of my favorite shows. We sat right where a live audience would sit during filming while Eiffron explained how the entire filming process unfolds over a five day period. Implanting ourselves in the actual studio with several moving parts truly shows how it all comes together through the magic of television.
Everything from the casting process to costume design to special effects are explained through interactive activities and videos inside the final stop, Studio 48. We sat on the famous Central Perk couch from the show Friends and had our picture taken to capture the once in a lifetime moment.
Since my 8 year old daughter is a little too young to know Friends, she was ecstatic to have her very own free green screen experience. She sat on props and acted out short scenes from the movies Harry Potter, Batman and Gravity. Videos and photographs of this were available for purchase.
Our family truly enjoyed our Behind The Scenes Tour and feel as though we got the true Hollywood experience. If you're undecided on this tour, go! You won't be disappointed. We're looking forward to our next adventure already!
Tip: Children must be 8 years old and not all areas can be photographed.

I am a local Californian and by chance came across an ad for the WB Studio tour while staying at a hotel. Our son loves anything to do with movies so for his birthday we gave him a visit to the WB studio. I only booked the morning of our visit. I don't necessarily recommend this but wanted to inform you it can be a last minute decision. We arrived about 15 minutes before departure although they recommend 30 minutes. Once again I would go with their suggestion so you are not rushed. Thankfully it was a quiet Sunday morning. I was a bit concerned we wouldn't see much action because it was the weekend. Our tour guide informed us although we would not see any filming we were able to experience the entire tour uninterrupted. During the week this is not always the case so weekends are actually a great time to visit. Allow at least 3 hours for your visit. The studio tour is two hours and then they drop you off at Studio 48 where you get to learn more in depth about the script to screen process. At Studio 48 there is a gift shop and cafe. Be aware there will be options for add on expenses as well. Overall the WB Studio Tour was very enjoyable and informative. I highly recommend it to anyone that is fascinated by the tv/movie industry.

"Loved this tour"

We took the deluxe tour on April 12th, 7 of us from jersey and there were a few from Australia on the tour with us. Our tour guide Thom was THE BEST! He was so knowledgable, so very nice! We are 4 adults and 3 thirteen year olds, I can't decide who liked it more!!! We got to visit stage sets indoors and out, prop warehouse...the lunch was delicious!! There were even some producers/writers of tv shows eating lunch near us, kind of a thrill! Thom was very good at pointing out the particular things that were important to the specific people in our group. We were so lucky to get him as our guide! We asked a lot of questions and he kindly and patiently answered each and every one of them! Sitting on the Friends couch and doing the Friends experience was definitely a huge highlight of our trip! Honestly we enjoyed it so much to days later we went back for the two hour tour it was just wary well done

We decided to take the regular tour. It is well worth the money. The tour guide polledl our group for our interests and then tailored our tour for us to see those things while also giving us a great sense of the whole studio and interesting history/facts. Helped me understand more how TV shows and movies are filmed. Lots of hands on and clear instructions when it is not!

"A very fun tour of a REAL studio."

We did the regular tour, not the VIP and though it seemed a bit expensive at first we found it to be well worth it and we're really glad we went. This is a real working studio, NOT a theme park! We saw both sound stages and lots where popular shows have been made for generations.
