"What Better Place Than Warner Brothers"
July, 2016
My family and I visited California in June of 2016. It was our first time visiting the West Coast so we wanted to do everything possible. When I found the Warner Brothers tour I was beyond excited! And the tour sure exceeded my expectations. Our tour guide was so friendly and full of so much information about the different movies and shows that have occurred on their grounds. She showed us where shows such as The Fosters, 2 Broke Girls, and Full house were filmed and created. One of my absolute favorite parts was visiting the soundstage for the show Big Bang Theory. Words can't describe how happy I was to see where one of my favorite shows came to record.
Stage 48 was just the cherry on top. Visiting the friends stage and ACTUALLY SITTING ON THE FRIENDS SET was absolutely fantastic! They also featured some old time favorites such as ER and gave you the chance to hold an actual Grammy. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the LA area. It was the highlight of our trip. There was so much information and activities jammed into the tour that you were never bored. Hopefully next time we can visit Ellen and attend a live recording of Big Bang Theory!
Tip: Make sure your phone is charged because there are lots of photo opportunities. Also, Tip your guide! They work very hard to make your time enjoyable.

"Fun & fascinating"

Our tour guide, Jillian, was energetic and very knowledgeable. All the behind-the-scenes stops were fascinating, and we loved the Harry Potter room - would have liked more than the short time we were allowed - lost a rating star because of that!

The Tour is the best Studio Tour in Hollywood . Our tour guide was the best knew everything and was so proud of his job . I want to go back and take my grandkids and friends. Very reasonably priced. I loved it.
Tip: Get there about 20 min before your time so you can check in. Buy your studio book at the end.

The four of us had a great time. Our guide was very informative. The museums were fun. Missed seeing more of older Warner Brother animation.
Tip: It was closer to three hours than two when you spend time in the final museum.

"Warner Bros Studio Tour"
June, 2016
We are a family of 4 (two being older teenagers). I wasn't exactly sure what day and time we would be able to do the tour but it was not a problem. I checked the website the night before and did not have a problem choosing the time I wanted and reserving our spot. We left in plenty of time to get there and were actually one of the first to arrive because traffic was not a problem at all. Everyone was very friendly and our tour guide was great! My favorite was getting to sit on the 'Friends' couch at Central Perk since that is my favorite show and I was in my 20s watching it when it ran on TV for the first time. A guy actually proposed to his girlfriend on the couch while we were next in line to sit on the couch! It was also cool to see the studio where Big Bang theory is taped. It is much smaller than you would think it would be. A lot of the tour is riding around which is nice then you get off and go inside different places. We all enjoyed the tour very much!

"Felt like a star!"

My family and I went to LA last weekend and decided to go to the WB studio tour and I'm so glad we did! What a great experience! We purchased our tickets on ReserveLosAngeles.com because we found they had the best price and the process was easy and most convenient. On the day of the tour we easily found the location due to the many helpful signs guiding us from the freeway to the parking lot. You could opt for free street parking or park in the WB lot for $7. After checking in we went into a small theater to view a short film of clips from the numerous iconic WB productions through the years.
Next the audience was divided into groups of 12 and assigned a guide. Our guide, Eiffron was super knowledgeable and his enthusiasm was contagious. What an exciting experience we embarked upon: touring behind the scenes where some of our absolute favorite movies and television shows were made. Once we boarded our motorized cart we were driven around the massive 110 acre lot full of back lots, front lots, the Prop Department and The Archive, all among outside sets that were easily recognizable. Along the way we even spotted parking spaces reserved for some of our favorite celebrities. I loved stepping inside The Prop Department (which holds over 450k items) trying to spot props from some of my favorite scenes in movies and tv shows.
Next we had a few minutes to roam the Picture Car Vault which housed the Batman cars, Bat Mobile, Bat Pod and the Bat Hammer. Then we headed to the Archive where we had the chance to get up close and personal with several Harry Potter and Batman costumes and artifacts. We even got to have our picture taken with Hogwart's hat which told us which house we were in.
We were then taken inside the sound stage of The Big Bang Theory, one of my favorite shows. We sat right where a live audience would sit during filming while Eiffron explained how the entire filming process unfolds over a five day period. Implanting ourselves in the actual studio with several moving parts truly shows how it all comes together through the magic of television.
Everything from the casting process to costume design to special effects are explained through interactive activities and videos inside the final stop, Studio 48. We sat on the famous Central Perk couch from the show Friends and had our picture taken to capture the once in a lifetime moment.
Since my 8 year old daughter is a little too young to know Friends, she was ecstatic to have her very own free green screen experience. She sat on props and acted out short scenes from the movies Harry Potter, Batman and Gravity. Videos and photographs of this were available for purchase.
Our family truly enjoyed our Behind The Scenes Tour and feel as though we got the true Hollywood experience. If you're undecided on this tour, go! You won't be disappointed. We're looking forward to our next adventure already!
Tip: Children must be 8 years old and not all areas can be photographed.

Our tour guide, Bob, was very entertaining! He sang, he danced, all while he was taking us around the lot. We learned so much about movie and TV production and saw many, many sets, and props for favorite movies and TV shows. We really didn't want the tour to end.If all the guides are half as energetic as Bob,you will have a great time.

"The Magic of Movies"

Okay, so I travel a lot (both for work and for pleasure) and I never want to seem like a slack-jawed Midwesterner, but that is honestly how I felt going through this tour and marveling at the magic of the movies. We had tickets for the three hour tour - our scheduled departure time for the tour was 1pm-130pm - but we arrived early and they were nice enough to put us in a slightly earlier group. (It seems like their tours start every 12 minutes or so.) They make a point of saying that no two tours are ever the same, so I can only speak for what we saw on ours, but it was a lot! Our guide drove us on the little golf cart tram over to "Midwestern Street" which is a street that has been used for filming in shows like Gilmore Girls and Pretty Little Liars, and is now being used to film a new show with John Lithgow. We got to walk around and go into some of the "houses" to see some of the tricks of the trade (the buildings are only a few feet deep, ceilings are really sheets) and take pictures. That would have been pretty cool even if that was all there was to it, but then we got to go to the area where they keep all the Batmobiles from the Dark Knight trilogy. Then we got to visit a sound stage where they are going to be shooting a new show called Limitless, and we got to walk around the set and look at the backdrop outside the windows, which was really neat. We had one celebrity sighting - one of the guys from The Big Bang Theory was outside smoking as we went by. The tour finishes off with a part where you get to go through various exhibits about the movies and how they are made. You can watch casting videos for the Harry Potter kids, Christopher Reeve and others. You can do a green screen experience where you get to see yourself either riding a broomstick in Harry Potter world or driving a batcycle through the streets of Gotham. (They might have others, too, but those were the options the day we were there.) There is even a part where you can hold an Oscar! (Heavier than you would expect!) And then the final thing is the Central Perk coffee shop set from Friends, where you can actually sit on the couch and stuff. We actually could have stayed even longer, as the guide told us that tickets for that day's taping of Conan were still available and encouraged us to head over and do that if we were interested. This tour is worth every penny, it was full of fun and memorable experiences.

We signed up for the deluxe tour and it was well worth it! The experience exceeded expectations and Thom did a great job pointing out backlots and stages from the favourite shows we mentioned! We would have liked to see more of the Rosewood/Starshallow town but it was being set-up for a Christmas party. Thom however did a great job pointing out some key pieces from different angles. Overall a fantastic experience and we would recommend.

We nearly didn't do this tour due to a booking error. We had booked and paid for the deluxe tour with lunch, but Starline tours informed me when I got to the transfer station that they do not do this tour and only offerred us the regular tour. We went with Starline, but I was very upset as the deluxe tour is not cheap, so effectively we would have lost a lot of money. I asked to speak to a manager at Warners who confirmed we had never been booked in. When I showed them my paper work they graciously honoured it and let us take the deluxe tour with lunch. They even paid for you cab back to our hotel as we had been stranded there as Starline would not collect us. We are so glad the let us take the tour. You get to see so much and you are in small groups so asking questions is really easy. The lunch & beverage inclued was excellent. It'not a cheap tour but it is worth the extra if you can afford it. Our tour guide Thom was fantastic, informative, professional and amusing. He really added to the experience. I also have to make mention of the manages Sade & Daniel who were very professional and extremely helpful and made our day a really enjoyable one.
