I didn't expect to have so much fun - but I did! We took our family there to celebrate our grandchildren's birthdays. It was priced really fair and there's a ton of different stuff to do. We got there early and rode rides then went to the see the Legos and to the Aquarium. It was a great time I will always cherish. Next time we'll stay another day and go to the waterpark too.

"Legoland visit with grandkids"
June, 2018 NEW
Legoland for our 4 grandkids was perfect. Ages 5-13 was just the right age. We were able to park, visit Legoland, leave for an hour for lunch off-property, and with a parking receipt and hand stamp, return to complete an 9 hour day. We also decided to buy the pass that allowed for us to visit all venues and return a second time within 9 days to go to the waterpark on our second visit. Since you have to walk through Legoland to get to the waterpark, we new we would be walking a lot and, we would need towels for the grandkids, so we took a wagon and loaded it with towels and water shoes, and a small cooler with water. Perfect! We all walked well over 10,000 steps that day and stayed for another 8 - 9 hours.

Tip: If you are going to the waterpark, it is a long walk and you will probably want to take towels-evein if you plan on changing. We had a wagon to hold all our stuff and the fact we didn't have to carry things around all that was was terrific. Also, if you think you want to go back a second day, buying the upgrad that allows you to go a second time in a 9 day period is really worth it. Kids liked all the rides, playing and building with legos. Some things don't open until 10AM, or later, so look at a map, ask questions and plan accordingly

"Fantastic creativity!!"
June, 2018 NEW
Great place for young children and parents/ grandparents. Some rides a little “ tight” for adults. 20-30 year old adults without children may not find the park especially stimulating.
The Miniland USA display was fascinating!!

First time to LEGOLAND with our 3 grandsons. It was fun. Glad there are activities and benches during the wait in some of the lines.

Tip: Be prepared to wait in line and explain to children there will not be time to see it all. Lines are too long. You can bring in refillable water bottles and snacks. Driving school was great.

"Best Day!"
May, 2018 NEW
LEGOLAND California was a part of my gift to my grandson for his 6th birthday. This was my second trip to LEGOLAND California, as I had taken my older grandson for his 5th birthday four years ago. We reside in Texas and a trip to California is a treat. I'm not sure who enjoyed LEGOLAND more - me or the boys. Both of my grandsons are HUGE LEGO fans. The rides are designed for the younger set, yes, but the fascination and creativity of LEGO construction is universal. Highly recommended!

Tip: (1) Assess the crowd and take advantage of reserving rides in advance to circumvent long lines. (2) Visit the "LEGO Factory" to learn more about the history and development of LEGO.

"Great Day"
April, 2018
The creators of LegoLand put a great deal of thought into how to make parent's lives easier and have a great time for kids. I will say we were lucky to be able to go on a weekday when most schools were in session, so it was not crowded and the lines were very short for all rides. My two kids (3 and 6) could have spent days playing on the different playground there and riding a number of the rides. The driving school was a huge hit. There were many places where the adults could sit and relax while the kids ran themselves around. The aquarium was pretty cool too. Small as aquariums go, but definitely worth a look. We spent about hour at the aquarium and could have stayed longer (we were the last ones out at 30min past closing time).

Tip: Check to see if the water park is open before you go. It is often closed in the off season. Head to the back of the park first as the lines for the first few rides tend to be long and those rides are not the most exciting.

We just wanted a quick getaway with all of our children. We have 3 boys ages 13, 11, and 8 and a daughter who is 5. This was the perfect location for all of our children. Staying right at the hotel, having a complimentary breakfast buffet, early access to the park, and being able to quickly go back to the hotel was perfect for our family!

This is my first visit here. I took my 6 year old nephew. Plenty of parking and very organized. This theme park is really good for kids but not for adults. My nephew is barely tall enough to ride the roller coasters so he loved it. The displays were okay, a little bit disappointing for me but nephew loved it. Also the price is too expensive comparably to other theme parks.

"Staying in the park was the ultimate experience!"
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5
Reviewed June 21, 2018 NEW
We have 2 boys, ages 5 and 6. This was the perfect age. Our youngest is 43 inches tall. Most rides you need to be a minimum of 42 inches tall. My suggestion is don't go to Legoland until your kids are this height so that they get the full experience of the park. We stayed in a Ninjago room inside California Hotel. It was clean and well designed for us and the kids. There is a treasure hunt which is a great perk for the kids. When staying inside the hotel there are events for them at all times, Lego playground, Lego movies in pool at night, dance parties, plays, they really built both hotel experiences around the kids. We visited both they are 50 ft from each other. When staying at the park you get free breakfast at the buffet. The buffet had great food and a lot of items to choose from. There was always a Lego character inside the buffet when we were there during breakfast and dinner. You can easily take a personalized picture with them. The staff is extremely friendly everywhere you go. We were celebrating both of the boys birthdays for this trip. When we checked in the front desk give each birthday boy a giant pin with their name and birthday age on it. Everywhere we went the staff said "Happy Birthday" and for each meal brought out a desert and sang a song. It was the ultimate, I highly recommend it. These two boys will never forget this birthday trip. When you stay at the hotel you also get to enter the park early however they have limited rides open so plan to hit the big roller coasters for that 30 min head start. There are three roller coasters that always have a long wait time. SUGGESTIONS: Book 3 days and 2 nights with park hopper pass. We arrived approximately 1 hour prior to check in on a Thursday afternoon and were able to unpack, explore both hotels, have the kids play at hotel playgrounds, go to pool and then relax. On Friday morning we had breakfast and were front in line for the big reveal of Legoland park, the boys were ecstatic! We stayed from 9am to 5pm taking our time and exploring each section of the general park areas. The evening in the hotel again was filled with another treasure hunt, dance party, movies at the pool, plays put on by the staff, beer and wine for Mom and Dad, and a visit to the playground. On Saturday, we packed up, gave our bags to valet, ate breakfast and for early entry to the park we hit the big coaster first, rode twice in a row!!! Then we headed for both water parks. They have lockers there for a 10.00 charge for your valuables (large backpack size plus. We saved the Aquarium until the very end. It only takes about 30 minutes. We left the park at approximately 4pm, got our car from valet and headed to the next destination. We were able to explore the whole park in that time frame with out any problems. Saturday was super busy so I would recommend mid week but our boys had the time of their lives, it was worth every penny and I wouldn't have changed a thing. MAKE SURE THEY ARE AT LEAST 42INCHES TALL!! you won't regret this trip if you are looking to make it about your kids :)
