from Knott's Scary Farm
Knott’s Scary Farm is the largest and most haunting Halloween experience in Southern California, with unimaginable scares and innovative thrills that can’t be found anywhere else. The fully transformed theme park encompasses 14 uniquely haunted mazes and attractions, sinister shows and more than 1,000 horrifying creatures lurking in the fog and hiding in every corner of the park. This year’s Knott’s Scary Farm experience has all the ingredients of a truly terrifying nightmare, but unlike most dreams, Knott’s Scary Farm is a nightmare you can’t wake up from.

New for 2018 -The Depths A heavy fog drapes over an abandoned port village where ancient creatures lurk inside the pitch-black underground caves hidden below the seaside shores. The Nightwatch Mining Crew has mysteriously disappeared and village rumors point to the eerie tunnels the town sits upon. Myths of the terrifying horrors that lurk within the cave have often been whispered but never confirmed. Did the crew meet their demise at the hand of vicious creatures that live within the cave? Journey into the dark caverns and follow the crew’s path into The Depths and discover if the superstition revolving around the cave is true or not. But be warned! All who have entered have never resurfaced.

Knott’s Scary Farm takes place on select nights from September 20 – October 31. Due to the explicit and frightening nature of the event, it is not recommended for children under 13.

Ticket only valid for the date selected. No costumes.

We went on Saturday so it was crowded but a great place to take the kids, loads of food and fun with some long lines in snoopy town - the vendors and decor in calico village were fantastic ! We ate at the fried chicken restaurant outside the park and while the service was great the food was horrible - cold - gooey - no taste - but the park was fun so who cared

I have not been inside the park for 4 years. Went for the Christmas stuff and it was very nice. Not overcrowded like Disneyland. My 28 year old wanted to do Hang Time a new Roller Coaster and he loved it so I will have to go back for him. For Christmas a lot of people selling Xmas crafts and that was set up very well. I hate Halloween do not like to be scared life is scary enough so this worked out well.Do the Christmas thing low key and stress free.

Our family was thinking about Disneyland for an end of summer trip, but then we remembered an old favorite Knottsberry Farm. We decided to change things up and gave Knotts a try. As much of a Disney fan as I am, I am glad we passed on Disney this year. For one, the ticket prices were much cheaper. Two, we were able to get through the park in a day and be done with it rather than come back again the next day, so that was kind of nice. Three, the lines were way shorter! there was still a decent wait for some of the more popular rides, but still not as bad as Disneyland. Four, there was still something for everyone, large roller coasters, rides for small children, and even carnival style games. Five, plenty of food options that were good. Overall we had a lot of fun without the hassle of super long lines and super high ticket prices.

Went to Knotts Merry Farm to get in the holiday mood, had so much fun on Saturday..went back for more on Sunday..The place is decked out in holiday decor, with the best being the huge Christmas tree..hang around til it's dark ..what a treat to see the tree all lit up, felt like a kid again. Enjoy the Bird cage theater..loved hearing those classic Christmas songs with a country twist....Crazy Kirk and the Hillbillies were so entertaining and fun..they even sang like Elvis and the Beatles. Went again to the Birdcage theater for a short play..Gift of the Magi ..the story will warm your heart and the Christmas songs will get you in the spirit..really enjoyed this..the cast performances were excellent..even my finicky teenagers enjoyed it. But the best was Santa..even though I am almost 60 but I look like 40 something..I had to see Santa and get a photo and of course let him know what I want for Christmas. Special Christmas treats await in Santa's Cabin..yummy chocolate dipped cheesecake, hot cocoa, and fresh baked cookies..even some tamales, and other yummy goodies. The decorations are beautiful with lots of places for Christmas family photos. On the way must check out the shops in the marketplace and see all the new stuff for Christmas..especially trees decked out in the Emporium and tons of affordable Christmas ornaments that will look great on your tree or as a gift. Go enjoy, eat drink and be merry and have an awesome time with your family..and hey don't forget to go on some of the awesome rides as well..went on Ghost rider first time..screamed the entire time..loved it..
